Vessel delayed at discharge port by owners’ breach - Charterers incur liability to cargo receivers - Whether charterers entitled to claim indemnity from shipowners

The charterers were in the business of buying and selling a particular commodity, of which there were three grades - grade A (the best), grade B and grade C (the worst). One of the charterers’ main customers for grade A was P. P bought between 50% and 60% of their product requirement from the charterers. The charterers shipped quantities of grade A to P twice a year or more often.
