Assessing damages after charterers’ withdrawal from charterparty

The vessel Noel Bay had been chartered for the carriage of gasoil from Italy to a wide range of European ports. The charterparty provided that the charterers were to nominate the loading port prior to the vessel’s readiness to sail from the previous port of call.
