Whether notice of readiness validly given where vessel able to discharge some but not all her cargo

The vessel Virginia M was chartered under the Gencon form for the carriage of a cargo of bagged calcium ammonium nitrate from Constanza to Nigeria. The vessel was fairly elderly and required a daily supply of about 20 tons of fresh water to feed her boilers and provide the steam necessary to run her auxiliaries.
