United Arab Emirates OVERVIEW The legislative framework for international arbitration in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set out in the articles 203–218 of Federal Law No. 11 of 1992 on CPL. It is not based upon the UNCITRAL Model Law. However Federal Law No. 11 of 1992 is in the process of being revised and a new law based upon the UNCITRAL Model Law is expected to come into force during 2008.
