Laytime - When to count - Ton basis for laytime calculation

A vessel loaded with 31,604 tons of wheat arrived at Bombay on Oct. 18. Notice of readiness was tendered at 10 00 on Saturday Oct. 19 and accepted at that time, subject to the charter-party. Her draught was then 35 feet. She waited until 18 15 on Nov. 6 when she commenced lightening which continued until 09 15 Nov. 13. Lightening was interrupted briefly on two occasions - no reasons were given for these interruptions. 5,520 tons were off loaded during the lightening operation.
