The vessel Jordan II was chartered on a Stemmor Voyage Charterparty (1983) form for the carriage of a cargo of steel coils from India to Spain. The charterparty was designed for the carriage of ore cargoes, but on this occasion it was used for the carriage of steel coils. Clause 3 provided:
