Collision action - Vessel struck in stern by overtaking vessel - Extent of blame attributable to vessel being overtaken - Application of Rule 17(a)(ii) of Collision Regulations

On 15 September 1991 a collision occurred at 1300 GMT in the Bay of Biscay between two vessels sailing in the same direction, one vessel overtaking the other. The vessel overtaken was the Koscienyna . The overtaking vessel was the Hanjin Singapore .
