Mareva injunctions - Whether defendants entitled to use frozen assets to pay solicitors’ fees

The plaintiffs had obtained world-wide Mareva injunctions over the assets of the defendant. The defendants applied for permission to transfer some £600,000 from the frozen assets to pay the legal fees of their solicitors, Theodore Goddard, and to pay the further sum of around £228,000 to Freshfields in respect of expenses.
