Clause 30 – Requisition/Acquisition

30 Requisition/Acquisition

    (a) In the event of the requisition for hire of the vessel by any governmental or other competent authority at any time during the Charter Period, this Charter Party shall not be deemed to be frustrated or otherwise terminated. The Charterers shall continue to pay hire according to the Charter Party until the time when the Charter Party would have expired or terminated pursuant to any of the provisions hereof. However, if any requisition hires or compensation is received by the Owners for the remainder of the Charter Period or the period of the requisition, whichever is shorter, it shall be payable by the Owners to the Charterers.
