Regulation of insurance brokers
14.1 Introduction
Insurance brokerage is one of the three types of insurance intermediaries in China. The general agency principles have been considered in chapter 13, and are applicable to all these three types of insurance intermediaries (insurance agents, insurance brokers, and insurance adjusters). In this chapter, we consider the statutory and regulatory rules specific to insurance brokers.
