The evidence from 2006 suggests high-value claims may be a feature of the current P&I cycle and the portents for 2007 also
appear to be ominous. This, coupled with the rise in day-to-day claims, has created a potential perfect storm of negative
drivers – at least in the minds of mutual managers.
