After summing up the general increases, Stephen Hawke, executive director of Aon Marine and chairman of Aon PLF, has given this report on the P&I market as a whole.

After a reasonably successful renewal at 20 February 2005 with the International Group raising pure premium income by more than 6%, the evidence of an increasing claims pattern started to become more compelling.
