Chinese assurer Taikang Life... which now claims to be the country’s fourth-largest life assurer in terms of premiums earned, has said that profit for 2007 will be up about 270% on the previous year, without giving further details. Premium income was said to be up by 65% to 34.3bn yuan ($4.77bn) for the year.
