MUANG THAI LOOKS TO ADD TRADE CREDIT INSURANCE

Thailand-based Muang Thai Insurance is to supplement its current offerings by adding trade credit insurance. Coverage will be offered to exporters and foreign buyers as a protection against payment defaults. According to Muang Thai president Nualphan Lamsam, the company is expecting to sign a memorandum of understanding with an unnamed regional broker during the course of the next two weeks as its first step into the credit insurance market.
