LIC GOES ON THE ROAD

India’s Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has taken to the road with an exhibition marking its 50th anniversary. A train consisting of eight coaches will “showcase the company’s glorious achievements” since it was nationalised in 1956m according to senior divisional manager for Jamshedpur DP Mohanty. The “LIC Zindagi Express” began its journey throughout the country from New Delhi on April 27 and will come to the end at Safdarganj on July 17. The company, although expanding, continues to lose market share to recently created private participants in the sector.
