Financial Stability Sector of the FSA looks to improve on data gathering to cope with systemic threats
On 17 October, the Financial Stability Sector directorate within the Financial Services Authority (FSA) published a paper
entitled “Information needed on firms in a financial crisis: ‘Factbooks’.” This paper contains proposals, on which comments
are invited by 14 December 2005, to improve the availability of key data from certain groups which the FSA judges it will
need should a ‘crisis that poses a threat or financial stability’ ever occur.
