Securitisation and Basel II: The new FSA Handbook

The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) has published a substantial consultation paper reviewing the terms of the proposals for implementing the revised Basel Accord (Basel II) on a statutory basis within the EU. This is contained in the recent recast Banking Consolidation Directive and Capital Adequacy Directive, which are together referred to in the consultation paper and in this article as the “Draft Directives”.
