Global regulatory update

A number of interesting and important regulatory developments have occurred during first quarter of 2005. George Walker from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies considers some of the main events at the UK, European and international levels.

United Kingdom

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) issued a number of more thematic papers at the beginning of the regulatory year, including its Financial Risk Outlook 2005 (FRO) and the new International Regulatory Outlook 2005 (IRO), as well as its Business Plan 2005/06 and statement of regulatory fees and levies for 2005/06.
