Malaysia liberalises conditions for foreign acquisitions

The government has reviewed the Foreign Investment Committee (FIC) guidelines in order to provide greater flexibility for foreign equity participation.The main thrust of the new FIC Guidelines is to protect local interests, whilst creating a more conducive environment for business and investment by clearly setting out the conditions for acquisitions of interests and properties.
