Navigating European Antitrust Risks on M&A Deals
In 2000, approximately 18% of all US mergers and acquisitions involved cross-border deals. Despite the downturn in merger
activity since then, the number of international M&A transactions remains high, reflecting the increasingly globalised economy
in which US companies operate. One side effect, however, is that more and more M&A transactions are receiving antitrust scrutiny
by overseas regulators.
