Offering of Structured Products in Malaysia

The Securities Commission (SC) has recently released new Guidelines on the Offering of Structured Products. Under section 32 of the Securities Commission Act 1993 (SCA), any person who issues, offers for subscription or purchase, or makes an invitation to subscribe for or purchase securities, would require the approval of the SC. The Guidelines cover structured products involving the issue or offer of securities.
