Securitisation in Greece: a new law

A new legal framework for securitisation by private entities in Greece was recently established, upon the enactment of law 3156/2003 at the end of June 2003.The existing regime provided for securitisation by the state or other state entities, but no specific provisions existed in relation to securitisation by private entities.
