On 25 September 2002, Germany’s Deutsche Börse AG announced its far-reaching plan to restructure the equity capital market
segments of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE). Most significantly, the Neuer Markt will be closed. In the future, all shares
will either be traded in the Prime Standard segment, requiring compliance with internationally accepted quality criteria,
or in the Domestic Standard segment.
