EC “softened” to anti-competitive concerns

Airmic, the risk management association, has said the European Commission has softened its stance towards the practices of London market insurers since its competition review of business insurance, published in September last year. The association said it had a meeting with the European Commission at the beginning of this year when “officials made it clear…that they are now satisfied on most points”.
