Industry key to regulatory harmonisation momentum, survey
Insurers must convert their demands for more international harmonisation of insurance regulations into action, according to
law firm Norton Rose which found in a recent survey that over 90% of respondents from major regions believe greater harmonisation
would benefit their company. Launching the survey, David Whear, a partner at Norton Rose, said: “There are an enormous number
of issues that do prevent harmonisation but that is not to say that there are not some quick wins. It relies heavily on the
appetite within the industry to bring about change”.
