FSA “best placed” for travel insurance regulation

An influential committee says the government should bring travel agents in line with insurance rules

A House of Commons’ Treasury Committee has recommended that the government bring travel agents under the remit of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in a report published just weeks before HM Treasury is due to announce the results of a review into the regulation of travel insurance.
