The FSA should remove gold-plated IMD measures by July 2008, recommends influential study

The UK’s general insurance regime is set to be overhauled following the results of a government commissioned review into the implementation of European legislation in the UK which has recommended that the regulations should be stripped of their gold-plated elements and operate in line with the EU minimum requirements under the Insurance Mediation Directive (IMD).
