Treasury Committee prepares to grill FSA
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is to appear before a Treasury Committee hearing to give evidence on its annual report
for 2005/6. The Treasury Committee said this follows a similar hearing held last year when it grilled chief executive John
Tiner and chairman Callum McCarthy on a wide range of issues regarding the FSA’s work. Committee members, including chairman
John McFall, are not known for giving witnesses an easy ride and although it issues guidelines, the detail of the questions
(which last year totalled over 100) are not provided to the FSA in advance.
