Contract certainty challenge enters final stage
With less than six months to go before the deadline to achieve contract certainty expires, the regulator’s feathers are ruffled.
The London market will be hoping for a better appraisal of its project to improve industry standards of contract certainty
when it next faces the regulator in September. Since the Financial Services Authority (FSA) announced that it would put regulatory
intervention plans on the back burner in favour of a market-led solution, it has noticed a lapse in the project’s development
and has warned: “There is no room for complacency in the vital months ahead”.
