EFSRT gathers views on failure of single market

The European Financial Services Round Table (EFSRT) is opening its forum on the competitiveness of financial services to supervisors and market players. Due to be held on 20 June in Stockholm, the heads of 20 of Europe’s largest banks and insurers will discuss the efficiency of Europe’s framework of supervision during the seminar and the barriers to cross-border retail sales. The round table group says the reality of a single market has not materialised and the seminar is part of its efforts to keep harmonisation targets on the agenda of policymakers.
