Wilson to replace Strachan as FSA insurance leader

David Strachan is to move on from his role as director of retail firms and insurance sector leader to replace Oliver Page as director of major retail groups. Mr Strachan will take on the additional role of financial stability sector leader and will assume both roles when Mr Page retires in April 2006. Sarah Wilson, currently director of high street firms, will take over from Mr Strachan as retail firms director from the beginning of February and as insurance sector leader from April. Ms Wilson was part of the team that implemented the FSA’s approach to mortgage and general insurance regulation.
