EU member states delay broker rules changes

Nine member states have yet to implement the broker directive

Only one member state of the 10 subject to European Commission infringement proceedings over failure to implement the insurance mediation directive has answered the Commission’s reasoned opinion sent in October last year. Italy has since informed the Commission of its implementation of the rules, which should have been transposed by January 2005, and has received the necessary approval.
