IUA pressures market to see through reforms

The London insurance market must take the lead and respond to the pressure from clients and regulators in order to keep the business at the top of the game, said Dave Matcham, chief executive of the International Underwriting Association. “We need to reform, our clients are looking for us to reform, and indeed our regulators are looking for reform. They in turn talk to overseas regulators. We are an international business that needs to be reforming internationally; and London is very much in the spotlight as a result,” Mr Matcham said.
