SAI/La Fondiaria merger reaches final stages

The merger of Societa Assicuratrice Industriale (SAI) and La Fondiaria Assicurazioni is finally being finalised following the approval of the shareholders of both companies. Approval is still needed from the country’s competition authorities, as well as from the insurance regulator, ISVAP. The current target date for completing the merger is between 1 January and 30 June of next year.
