Kazakhstan: market expansion driven by voluntary insurance covers

The Kazakhstan insurance market grew by 70% to Tenge13.9bn (US$92mn) in 2001, according to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the Central Asian republic’s insurance regulatory body. The bank says the market’s high growth rate was driven by the increasing sales of voluntary insurance classes.
