Good ratings despite cats

A M Best has issued positive ratings to insurers in the Caribbean, overcoming the major drawback of operating in the world’s worst catastrophe regions. Trinidad and Tobago-based NEM Insurance was the first company to be issued with an A- (excellent) rating because of its widespread involvement in several territories. Two more – Gulf insurance and Bermuda’s leading insurer United Insurance – have also received positive ratings.
