The Austrian owners of a casino in Jericho, closed down due to political violence, are reportedly seeking US$45mn in compensation from its Palestinian insurers. The Oasis casino catered mostly to Israelis willing to venture into Palestinian-controlled Jericho. Casinos are banned in Israel.
