Singapore expands scope of motor tribunal

The General Insurance Association (GIA) of Singapore and the country’s network of subordinate courts will expand the scope of the Third Party Property Damage Tribunal, set up last year to speed up motor accident claims. GIA president Law Song Keng said the tribunal’s claims ceiling was being raised from S$3,000 to S$10,000 to handle more serious cases.
