French face Crédit Lyonnais payout

The French government is very concerned over the threat to the French treasury posed by the case being prepared by US federal prosecutors against Crédit Lyonnais and Consortium de Réalisation (CDR). CDR was set up in 1995 to dispose of the controversial assets that led to Crédit Lyonnais’s financial failure.
