US industry welcomes crop insurance reforms
The agricultural and insurance industries have welcomed reforms to the US crop insurance programme contained in the
Agricultural Risk Protection Act
. The act was signed into law by President Clinton over the last fortnight after the bill was passed by Congress in May following
18 months of deliberation.
