A new policy providing protection against unexpected legal costs, introduced only last month, is attracting hundreds of clients every week. The policy launched by Sydney-based HIH Insurance Group, which has nine outlets in New Zealand, offers cover for legal bills when the client is involved in litigation. It does not cover legal action started by the insurer. Premiums start at less than NZ$5 (US$2.50) per week and covers legal fees of up to NZ$200,000.
