At a press conference to set out its own business model, Anderson Consulting (AC) recently sought to impress upon insurers that the internet can provide a revolutionary platform for new business communications between brokers and other parties – without necessarily enabling online sales. Insurers may be missing the point, says AC associate partner Ina Kirchhof, if they think of the internet as an exclusive alternative to tradition structures.
