£115,000 award for family of teacher

The family of a teacher who died from mesothelioma caused by low levels of exposure to asbestos has received a settlement of £115,000 from his county council, who accepted liability for his death. The school where he had worked had had to remove asbestos in the 1980s as it had been flaking off the ceilings.
