Costly support

The failure of the libel action brought by Neil Hamilton against Mohamed Al Fayed leaves a question mark over who shall pay the costs, particularly those of Mr Al Fayed estimated at between £1.5 and £2mn. Mr Justice Morland has ordered that the names of all those who contributed more than £5,000 to Mr Hamilton’s ‘bankroll’ of almost half a million be sent to Mr Al Fayed’s solicitors within 28 days.
