American International Group ( AIG) has enhanced its Umbrella Elite policy with CrisisResponse, which can advance to policyholders up to US$250,000 for expenses for which they may become legally liable resulting from a covered major casualty crisis. It also provides up to US$50,000 for the services of a public relations firm during the crisis. Such casualty crises include not only large disasters such as explosions and major crashes, but widespread contamination of food, drink or pharmaceuticals.
