Estimates of surviving victims of Nazi Germany’s systematic use of forced labour range from 1mn to 2.3mn, of whom somewhere
between 100,000 and 240,000 are resident in the US. Others were brought in from the former Soviet Union and eastern European
countries to work in German factories.
