Armageddon taskforce
One of the first UK governmental actions of the 21st century is the establishment of a taskforce to study and make recommendations
on the hazard of ‘near-earth objects’. Chaired by Harry Atkinson, a member of the Science & Engineering Research Council,
it will also consider the UK’s contribution to international action of asteroids and comets.
