At the end of the public inquiry into BSE,
Lord Justice Phillips said the full extent of the disaster may not become clear for years. The inquiry, which ran for two
years at a cost of £26mn, scrutinised events over the 10 years up to 20 March 1996. The report is due at the end of March.
