England’s first dedicated human rights practice to be opened by Irwin Mitchell, responding to needs arising from the Human
Rights Act. This is by no means a ‘bandwagon’ approach as senior partner, Michael Napier, was the first solicitor-advocate
to appear before the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of the rights of mental health patients.
