Pollution protection for lenders

Chubb Insurance and Environmental Insurance Management have produced the Lenders’ Environmental Insurance Programme (LEIP), to offer protection to institutions with loan portfolios secured by property within the UK. Launched to coincide with the powers, in force in the Spring of 2000, for local authorities to identify polluted land and ensure its clean up. LEIP offers portfolio cover and is not site specific.
